The tour starts at the meeting-point sign

Guests find the meeting point, scan the sign, and they've got the safety briefing, the running order and their audio commentary before you've counted heads. Move the 2pm departure to 2:30 and every printed sign follows.

  • A self-guided audio tour that plays in the browser: nothing to download
  • Tickets, the safety briefing and the meeting pin on one sign
  • Reviews asked for at the dock, while the tour's still fresh

The setup

Five codes run a tour

Each one has a single job, and every one is dynamic, so the day you change the timetable, the printed signs keep up.

Website

Book & tickets

Sends walk-ups to your booking page for the next departure. Point it at Rezdy, FareHarbor or your own site. Repoint it when the timetable changes.

Goes onMeeting-point sign, rack card
Audio

Self-guided audio

Plays your commentary at each stop, in the browser. Guests use their own phone and earbuds; swap the recording without reprinting the sign.

Goes onVehicle or boat decal
Video

Safety briefing

The same briefing every group gets, in the languages you need. Play it while people gather, so latecomers aren't a reason to repeat yourself.

Goes onMeeting-point sign
Website

Meeting point

Drops guests on the exact pin, not the vague suburb. Add a photo of the sign so they know they're standing in the right spot.

A 2pm departure

What the sign does between guests arriving and you pushing off.
1:40 PMThey find the signThe meeting-point board is where you said it'd be. They scan it while they wait.
1:43 PMBriefing doneWatched the safety video on their own phone. You're not repeating it every time a straggler turns up.
1:46 PMAudio readyThe self-guided commentary loads in the browser, earbuds in. No handset to hand out.
2:00 PMYou push offEveryone briefed, ticketed and standing on the same pin. You counted heads once.
4:15 PMBack at the dockThe review code on the ticket goes home with them. Scans come in over the evening, while it's fresh.

Honest bit

Where tour codes fall over

We'd rather you printed two good codes than ten that nobody scans.

A code with no reason to scan“Scan here” gets ignored. Say what's behind it: the audio guide, your ticket, the next departure time.
Audio that assumes earbuds and receptionTell guests to bring earbuds. If you run offshore or underground, note that the audio loads best on the wifi at the meeting point, before you leave signal.
The review code on the meeting-point signNobody reviews a tour they haven't taken yet. Put it on the ticket they carry off with them.
One code for booking, audio and reviewsA single landing page that does all three measures nothing. One job per code, so the scan numbers tell you something.

Explorer — $5.99/mo

A single-operator tour runs on four to six codes, so Explorer's 25 dynamic codes leave room for a second departure, a seasonal route and the audio stops. Start on Free (3 codes) if you only need booking, the meeting pin and reviews.

Tour operators questions

The ones owners actually ask us before they print.

The ones who've paid for it will, if it plays in one tap with no app. Point them at it while they're waiting at the meeting point, tell them to bring earbuds, and it works. Where there's no signal, load it on your wifi before you set off.
